BIOGRAPHY


       AndrĂ©e Tracey has worked in a variety of media, including painting, photography, and illustration. She has been an adjunct instructor in the University of Minnesota’s Fine Art Department as well as with Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, and also taught in the Continuing Education Department at the University of Southern California. She has been a visiting lecturer and juror at numerous institutions nationwide as well as her hometown of Minneapolis, and has also served on advisory committees for MFA candidates at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.       

     Her photographs and paintings have been widely collected, including such institutions as the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Center for Creative Photography and the Baltimore Art Museum.

      As a freelance illustrator she regularly provides preliminary illustrations for Target Corporation for their website and for catalogues. She also created numerous covers of Minnesota Medicine Magazine. In addition she has produced artwork for The Wilson Quarterly, The Stanford Social Innovation Review and various other publications. Her illustrations have also been licensed by Manual Woodworkers and Certified International for table top designs and fabrics, by Frankie and Johnny for sleepwear fabrics, and by Antioch for paper products.
