Queenie Fettuccine

Just to let you know, I'm not much of a cook.
I love to eat, but I just can't seem to get the
basics down about preparing the goodies!
I've had to throw out more pots that burned
while I was preoccupied elsewhere, and my
kitchen cupboards still reek of burned
chick peas from the afternoon I tried to
make homemade hummus 2 years ago.

Long live Queenie Fettuccine!

Dress Up Clothes

What good are new clothes if you can't
break them in properly?

Gossip Girl

Do you know someone like this? It's not ME, of course....

The second sketch shows what came to mind initially. I liked
how the phone cord formed a border. But let's face it, the
phone is so......so last century! So I sacrificed the border
for a more contemporary phone - and the color version
is the end result.

Self-Employed Thought

One of the worst things about my life is that I work at home.
I get a little stir crazy this time of year, staring out the window
at the whiteness and coldness and the sameness of the entire day.

One of the best things about my life is that I work at home,
and I don't have to COMMUTE!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! 2007 is SO OVER! Gone, Extinct, Bye Bye! And now we can ring in the New Year and start anew. As usual, when the end of the year came, I realized there were exhibitions that I needed to see before they left town, and I made a mad dash for the Walker Art Center to see the Frida Kahlo show. What a great artist, and an inspiration for all of us. I'm hoping to make the coming year a productive and creative one.

2008, ready or not, here we come!
